Urban Harvest Pollinator Festival
Urban Harvest will host their third annual Pollinator Festival on Sat., May 13, 9-11 a.m. Houstonians will have the opportunity to shop and support local during one of Houston’s largest farmers markets featuring over 100 vendors while learning the importance of pollinating animals for continued fruit and vegetable production.
Activities will include: Honeybees on display in an observation hive and samples of their hyperlocal neighborhood honeys from Bee2Bee, pollinator plants from Lantrip Elementary Greenhouse, and arts and crafts featuring a paper cup plant starter. In addition, Omi Rain Tanks will be on site displaying their stainless steel rainwater collections barrels for a garden and irrigation.
Farmers market customers will have the opportunity to taste seasonal items from Hive Bee Farm including: local raw unfiltered honey and rye barrel aged honey by William Price Distilling Co from Hive Bee Farm.
