Chica, age 9

Hi. My name is Chica Maria Recinos, aka Chitabunix. Humans say Dachshunds bark at everything, need all the attention, have a temper and a huge appetite, and give their humans unconditional love... you know what, they’re right. My short legs are strong and fast to help me do zoomies when I am happy. I have unique eyes: one blue and one black. My mom makes sure I have a healthy diet; my dad likes to walk me in the neighborhood, bathes, and grooms me. He gives me kisses all the time and even brushes my teeth (eww). My sisters are in charge of the spoiling department (Mom and Dad also chip in). My favorite things are playing with my squeaky toys, snacks, and naps. I love my human family very much, and they love me too (they say it all the time). Have you heard the human expression “you lucky dog”? Yeah, that's me.
