Lunar New Year Celebration at Space Center Houston
Space Center Houston celebrates Lunar New Year with a weekend full of cultural activities, learning about the moon, and engaging in fun, hands-on science experiments. It’s a perfect way to ring in the new year while learning about space and the wonders of our lunar neighbor.
Lion Dances
Sat., Feb. 1, 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Watch this incredible traditional Chinese dance in which the dancers are masked and costumed to resemble lions put on by the Rising Dragon dance company.

Special Presentation
Dr. Gary Kitmacher
Sat., Feb. 1
Dr. Gary Kitmacher will be talking about the Artemis program and future plans for NASA’s journey back to the moon! Dr. Kitmacher has worked at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) since 1981. As the mission manager for Education and Outreach, he has worked in the International Space Station (ISS) Program Office for several years.
