BKV Energy Presents Houston Botanic Garden’s Bayou Blues Festival
The Houston Botanic Garden’s Bayou Blues Festival, presented by BKV Energy, is back for 2025. Join us on Sunday, March 9, near the banks of Sims Bayou during bluebonnet season, for an afternoon of soulful, roots music, curated by Houston’s own Annika Chambers.

Enjoy live music, a Family Fun Zone with bluebonnet-themed crafts, games, face painting, and more, shop a local market, and snap photos in front of the Garden's bluebonnet field at Houston Botanic Garden's Bayou Blues Festival. (Photo: Ramiro Fonseca)
In addition to five hours of live music, attendees can snap photos in front of the Garden’s bluebonnet field, also sponsored by BKV Energy; enjoy the Family Fun Zone, with bluebonnet-themed crafts, games, face painting, and more; shop a festive market featuring local vendors and plants from the Garden; and browse information stations staffed by select nonprofit organizations. Access to the entire Garden, including the “Habitat” exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, is also part of the Bayou Blues experience.
