Visit the two MFAH house museums—Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens and Rienzi—for an afternoon of free, family-friendly programs that connect art, nature, history, and science. Park at Bayou Bend and take the complimentary shuttle between locations!

This edition of Family Day features the theme “Music to Our Ears.” Explore music made by and enjoyed by Americans and Europeans of generations past.

Activity Highlights at Bayou Bend:

1:30 p.m. & 3 p.m. | Music by AFA Chamber Music Academy
1 p.m.–4:30 p.m. | Children’s activities in the house hosted by Houston Junior Woman’s Club
1 p.m.–4 p.m. | Workshop for making musical instruments, led by a teaching artist
1:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m. | Instruction in 1700s country dance
