The Muslim Community Association hosted its first interfaith Ramadan iftar at Patio by La Pasha. Iftar is the name of the meal eaten at sunset to break the fast during Ramadan. Friends, neighbors, and city leaders of all faiths attended the event and enjoyed each other’s company. Bellaire Mayor Gus Pappas, Bellaire Police Chief Onesimo "Mo" Lopez, and multiple city council members and city staff were among the 150 guests who heard from Imam Wazir Ali about the significance of Ramadan and the power of joining together in the community.
