Hello, I’m Mabel! No, not Sonic the Hedgehog, who people are always confusing me for! I’m an elderly domestic hedgehog who is always in a grump. I was adopted in 2020 and have lived in Third Ward, in Sherman, Texas, and now in West U! I love a good mealworm as a snack or maybe a cherry tomato. I have lots of hobbies, like cross-stitching and running on my wheel all night. Did you know that hedgehogs like me can run up to two miles per night? Neat! I enjoy me-time since I’m a nocturnal, solitary animal – but I’m always up for attention, as long as you don’t mind getting spiked or nibbled! Even though I’m an older hedgie, when I’m not napping, I’m full of energy and can’t sit still. Good luck to my owners – they need a lot of patience!
