A lot of people think I got my name, Duke, because I am a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, so they picked a royal name for me. But that isn’t the case. I am named Duke because I come from a long line of Cavaliers from Hawaii, and one of the greatest competition swimmers from early 20th century America was a Hawaiian legend named Duke Paoa Kahinu Mokoe Hulikohola Kahanamoku. (Yeah, that’s his real name.) My favorite thing to do is run around Pumpkin Park across the street from my house and play with my friends Mei Ling, Reagan and Shadow. Recently, I met some other Cavaliers that live nearby, and I hope to see a lot more of them. I love all dogs, my family, warm baths, fortune cookies, bread sticks and sleep. Especially sleep. Some people think I’m a tad overweight, but I am just big boned. If you ever see me, please come say, “Hi,” especially if you have a dog with you.
