Leading the trail
The Lanier Middle School varsity Girls Cross Country team has been busy burning up the trails this season. Among the standouts on this strong team are Tess Stefan and Audrey Foster. The girls placed first and second overall at the Lobo Invitational held along the scenic bayou at Chavez High School. At press time, Lanier eighth-grade girls were undefeated heading into the final two meets of the season. Seventh- and eighth-grade girls are coached by Linda Suttles. Eighth-grade boys, coached by Katie Keenan, have also excelled with two first-place place wins and one second-place showing. Pictured are (from left) Tess Stefan, who placed first overall, followed closely by Audrey Foster.
