Crime Stoppers of Houston 2015 Houston’s Heroes Awards Luncheon Highlights

Every year, Crime Stoppers of Houston hosts the Houston’s Heroes Awards Luncheon to honor passionate community advocates and dedicated supporters of their crime prevention programs. This year’s awardees included Buzz residents from Bellaire, Tanglewood/River Oaks and other Houston neighborhoods. The event was made possible thanks to many Houston sponsors including the events Safety Partner Sponsor, Aramco. Award recipients included:
- Devon Anderson, Harris County District Attorney: The Johnny Klevenhagen Crime Stoppers Award
- Lee Vela, Clear Channel Outdoor: The Leon Goldstein Crime Stoppers Award
- Eddee Hestand, Houston Police Department Volunteer: The Leiv Platou Crime Stoppers Award
- CenterPoint Energy: The Corporate Partnership Crime Stoppers Award
- Gena and Chuck Norris, KICKSTART KIDS: The Safe School Crime Stoppers Award, which was new this year
Keynote speaker: Scott McClelland, president, H-E-B Houston Division.
