Bellaire resident Paul O’Sullivan (at left), CEO of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center, along with family members Keelan Pierse, Oran Pierse, Paul Pierse and Ted O’Sullivan (pictured, from left), had a tough start to the BP MS 150 bike ride from La Grange to Houston due to severe weather, but they finished the race. The weather led to the cancellation of Day 1, but they, along with more than 100 riders from Memorial Hermann, made the journey from La Grange to the finish line at the state Capitol and raised close to $110,000. The funds will be used to help find a cure for multiple sclerosis (MS), a chronic disease of the central nervous system. The family was racing in support of a cousin recently diagnosed with MS.
