Recipe directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Stir together the eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips and cherries. Add the liquid ingredients into the dry and mix only until barely combined. Pour the batter into a greased 9-by-5-inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour or longer, until a toothpick comes out clean. This can be baked in several smaller pans or muffin tins; shorten baking times accordingly.
