Flo Paris
Flo goes by the motto of “Mangez bien, riez souvent, aimez beaucoup,” which translates to “eat well, laugh often, love a lot” – all of which are easy to do at this strip-center French bakery that has won the hearts of many Galleria residents within months of opening. No wonder, Flo – named after co-owner Rabih Salibi’s affable wife Florelle – is what you look for in a proper French bakery, of which there are few in Houston. From flaky, buttery croissants to crusty baguettes with an airy, fragrant crunch, Flo does almost everything with finesse, which is what you would expect from a talented team that includes pastry chef Dany Srour and Philippe Schmit, a master chef of France. The proof is in the quality of the food, and here, almost everything is worth trying, from savory crepes, tandoori salmon sandwiches and exquisite macarons.
