Southern Goods

There is no shortage of eateries in the Heights. Almost every corner of this iconic Houston neighborhood is evidence of foodie growth. Southern Goods opened its doors in 2015 and has remained a popular destination for food, drink and music. The Southern Goods Burger features two Wagyu beef patties with cheddar cheese for those with a good appetite. The burger is accented with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and Comeback Sauce (SG’s version of the popular Thousand Island style), atop a bakery-style salt and pepper bun. A nice side of Southern-style (mustard and new potatoes) potato salad accompanies the burger. Cool wood tones and ceramic accents create an inviting environment, with a large center bar at the foot of a generous spirits selection. A covered outdoor seating area offers a casual dining alternative on warm summer afternoons and evenings. Southern Goods also offers an increasingly popular Sunday brunch.
