Tel-Wink Restaurant & Grille
If you are looking for a classic home-cooked breakfast, Tel-Wink should be your destination. Since 1962, everyone from bikers to doctors has been congregating at this Telephone Road breakfast mecca on the weekends. The line forms inside the restaurant, winding around the booths and tables, giving those waiting a glimpse of what is about to come. Homemade biscuits are king here, big and fluffy. Also tops are traditional egg dishes served with hash browns or grits and toast or two biscuits. Steak-and-egg dishes, omelets, pancakes, Belgian waffles, French toast and not-to-be-missed breakfast sandwiches (one with jalapeño sausage) round out the large selection of breakfast choices. Be prepared to wait, but you can kill time by taking turns gawking over the motorcycles that line the gravel parking lot. Breakfast is served anytime.
