My name is Katie Giveon, and I am in tenth grade at Duchesne Academy. My love of writing began with poetry in third grade, and I later started an online middle school magazine called Bonjour Duchesne. My school is unique because of the Sacred Heart Goals: faith, intellect, service, community, and growth. Besides writing, I volunteer with the National Charity League, promote literacy through the iWrite Literacy Organization, and have a rescue dog named Sam. I love Houston because of the feeling of community. I believe words bring people together, and I look forward to participating in School Buzz.
