Maya Harpavat

Maya Harpavat is a sophomore at Rice University, studying Health Sciences and English (concentration in creative writing). She originally started writing for School Buzz as a high schooler at St. Agnes Academy. She enjoys writing about the neighborhood she grew up in, and appreciates highlighting unique and untold community stories. Along with The Buzz Magazines, her work has been recognized in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition as well as the iWrite anthology. In her free time, Maya likes to explore national parks, write creative historical fiction stories, and spend time with family and friends.
