Blue, age 6

My name is Blue. I am a 6-year-old Dalmatian, and my supervisor is 90. As a puppy, I chewed up spectacles, watercolor brushes and lemon-yellow paint, and generally anything that didn’t chew me up first. I was also known to steal brisket, cupcakes and other delicacies from the kitchen table. When I got a little older I took on the responsibility of Protector of the Home and stationed myself by the dining room window, where I would bark at everything from falling leaves to squirrels to the postman. Don’t get me wrong. I love people, and the postman is my favorite. At this point, you may say I belong in Obedience School. Perhaps. But my supervisor finds me to be a faithful and loyal companion and loves me most dearly.
