Arches and columns of jasmine and a perfect cool evening enhanced the fun-raiser outdoor party at the smashing home of Amy and Hardy Murchison. The Katy Prairie Conversancy Bash honored Janie and Gareth Cook, Neva and John Dawson, and Christy and John Murchison for significantly improving visitor access to the Katy Prairie. Co-chairs Jacque and Kevin Bartol made sure there were duck whistles at each place setting, and Jim Gregory demonstrated calls for a mallard. As a result, a few decoys landed in the pool. Partiers who wandered around the grounds to see a custom-built aviary and a koi pond with a waterfall got to see Murchison daughters Ashley and Virginia proudly showing off 10-week-old puppy Bee, who enjoyed the attention.
