Girl Scout Troop 20265
Briargrove Elementary fifth graders Lauren Haley, McKenna Leach, Jenna Kidd, Luiza Quigley, Erin Brooks, Nina Davalos, Barbara Serna and Nina Garcia (pictured, from left), all members of Girl Scout Troop 20265, earned an award for running a book drive. They collected over 2,200 gently used books. Each girl designed book marks with encouraging words and designs on them. They printed over 1,600 book marks and included them in the books they donated to less-privileged children in the Houston area. Also pictured is Andrea Brooks.
