The Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association Peewee 10U Hawks met the Pirates for a Gold Championship rematch after the Hawks beat the Pirates a few days earlier. The Hawks, who won nine and lost two in the regular season, met the Pirates, who won eight, lost two, and tied one in the regular season, in the first matchup. The Hawks won the game 9 to 2. It was the Pirates’ first playoff loss, but the Hawks triumphed again in the rematch, this time 13 to 2. Caden Welsh (pictured) is shown facing off against the Pirates’ catcher in a close play at the plate. Team members included Kai Andrews-Sands, Dominic Bujanos, Jacob Cerda, Nicholas Harris, Cole Johnson, Patrick Mallon, Jack Napier, Brady Ramm and Anthony Reynosa, with head coach Juan Cerda and coaches John Bujanos, Patrick Ramm and Jim Welsh.
