Colorful paper flowers adorned the tables at the Hunters Creek Garden Club spring luncheon at Guadalajara Hacienda arranged by Rachel Messina (and yours truly). Nancy Smith happily turned the gavel over to Jane Green to be the new president. Other new officers installed by Geetha Mammen were Lee Hunnell, Smith, Susan Hendrix, Mary Gosnell, Alice Read, Ann Moss, Dianne Cimo and Nancy Glesby. Messina and Jennifer Pine will plan next year’s luncheon. City Council Member Fidel Sapien spoke about policies and the police and fire departments. What’s said at the garden club spring luncheon stays at the luncheon.
