8 Days of Summer
For the Fourth of July, seniors Suzanne Pfeffer, Liz Hopkins and Elizabeth Gallatin went to Suzanne's farm and spelled out “USA” using sparklers. Pfeffer said, “We made lots of good memories on this trip celebrating America. It was a great weekend!”

For one week, senior Leah Prillaman worked at a day camp for kids with disabilities called Camp Buckaroon. Pictured is Leah with the autistic child she worked with, Ramon. Prillaman said, “Since it was just kids who all had disabilities it was really different, but it was really neat getting to interact with the kids.”

This July, senior Robyn Whitaker went to Camp Ozark for her seventh summer. Pictured are Robyn and her older sister, Auburn sophomore Lauren, following a tribal win at the camp wide relay on the last day of camp. Whitaker said: “As an oldest girl, I was an important factor in the race and I had to run a very difficult obstacle course with the entire camp watching and cheering me on. I was so excited when we won, but so sad it was my last year." Whitaker realized that being able to be with her sister only added to the greatness of the win that day.

This July, senior Morgan LePori went on a SEC College tour with her family. Pictured is LePori with her younger sister Cameron at the University of Alabama. LePori said, “Alabama and Auburn were my two favorite because I loved both of the campuses, and th

Elders appreciated how the city is very historical but so modern: “You see people walking around in tradition Islamic clothing but you see people going in the biggest mall in the world or visit Atlantis on a man-made island like a palm tree. It’s such a unique city.”

This summer, as we all went on different journeys, we were impacted by what we learned. For eight different seniors, their journeys were very different but equally as meaningful.
