No agenda
Connie and Rick Senter took a month to experience New Zealand. There was no itinerary and no reservations but a few surprises. In Greymouth, they watched the wrath of Cyclone Ita from the Kingsgate Hotel balcony. Waves crashed as the Tasman Sea and the Grey River merged and destroyed 60 homes. They were thankful for the skimpy staff that remained to cater to them. On calmer waters on Lake Taupo, Rick hired a fly-fishing guide and caught many 20-plus-inch rainbow trout, and a chef prepared some of them for their dinner. Many laughs were shared with college friends in New Plymouth. Connie returned in time to celebrate her birthday with happy hour at Seasons 52 with 15 gal pals.
