Mission: Dominican Republic

This summer, young members of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church ventured to the Dominican Republic for the church’s fourth annual mission trip. Students traveled to Santiago where they helped build a medical clinic, ran sports camps for kids and organized a vacation Bible school program at the local church. The trip was organized through missionary organization G.O. Ministries. Pictured (from left) are Georgia McHenry and Avery Claire Prasher, who worked construction to build a new community medical center. Both Avery Claire and Georgia said the highlight of the trip was playing with the kids during their free time.
