Andi and Sam Collins bought a home in Asheville, North Carolina, seven years ago to escape Houston as often as possible during the heat. Since they live off the Blue Ridge Parkway they enjoy spectacular mountain vistas and the Smoky Mountains. A steady flow of Houston visitors arrive at their doorstep between April and October. Paulette and Mel Levine came in September and Laurie and Jeff Bricker in October for fall foliage. Everyone likes to visit the Biltmore Estate, and 70 miles away is the Linville Falls with three-tiered waterfalls.
