Mayor Annise Parker signed a proclamation naming “Holly Rose Ribbon Foundation Day” when 200 supporters, mostly clad in shades of rose and red, dined at Fleming’s Rivers Oaks. The five-course dinner included a surprise guitar birthday cake for Charlie Padgett, the son of Kim Padgett, co-chair with Jessica Rossman and John Evatz. Honorees were Diane Caplan and Alex Martinez. Dr. Franklin and Cindi Rose, with daughter Erica Rose and son Ben Rose, with fiancée Laura Max Nelson, were thrilled that nearly $100,000 was raised for cancer survivors.
