Tying the (double) knot

It had been a long Monday at work for Bellaire High School grad Melissa Finkelstein when she arrived home to have dinner with boyfriend Danny Gutman. He told her that he wanted her to pick out a painting to hang from several that he had bought on a recent trip to Detroit. When she opened up the wrapping paper, the canvas was painted black with the words, “Will You Marry Me?” in colorful paint. To her shock, he got down on one knee, and she saw her sisters Melanie and Lauren emerge from their hiding places with cameras. Several months later, Melissa’s twin sister, Melanie, headed to Dallas with her boyfriend, Joseph Lipp, for his niece’s birthday party. Melanie was stunned to see both of their families outside together under a tree, with Joseph’s five nieces and nephews lined up. Each wore a shirt, which spelled out: “Will you marry me, Melanie?” She turned around to see him on his knee. Melissa and Melanie are thrilled to be engaged in the same year. Melissa is planning a March 2015 wedding and Melanie is looking forward to an October 2015 wedding. Both weddings will be in Houston.
