A glimpse of the new website design for the City of Bellaire.

With the New Year the City of Bellaire will be launching a new look for the City website. Our goal is to organize the website so that you the user can easily find the information you need. We hope our website will offer opportunities to provide feedback on city projects and other important issues in the City of Bellaire.

The City’s website is our main communication tool for getting information to our residents. Your input is desired, and we invite you to send an email to [email protected] telling us what you would like to see on the City’s website.

Our website address will be changing to bellairetx.gov in 2015, but you will be able to find us at both current and new addresses.

Another outlet the City utilizes is a Facebook page that duplicates our website for news and information. Facebook houses our photo album for projects and other great pictures of City events. At this time we are using Facebook to house photos for our new Municipal Facilities Project.

The City uses blogger.com to receive citizen input on different topics such as the budget process or CIP projects. Currently we have a new blog to receive your input on our facilities project. Leave us a comment and let us know what you think. You may also join us on Feb. 2, 2015 for an Open House beginning at 4 p.m., a Town Hall meeting at 5:30 p.m. where the Mayor and City Council will receive input regarding the new Municipal Facilities Project, followed by the State of the City Address at 7 p.m.

Feb. 2 also marks the rollout of our Municipal Public Education and Government Channels. (Channel 16 for Comcast and Dish and Channel 99 for U‐verse).

The City has also started an online newsletter that can be found on our website. The City’s Twitter account is used only for emergencies and can be found here.

Of course, you are always welcome to come visit us in person. Our main city offices are located at 7008 S. Rice Avenue. Your Mayor and City Council receive public comments at every Regular Council meeting, which are normally held on the first and third Monday of every month at 7 p.m. Public comments are at the beginning of each meeting. Visit our website to get their full schedule and agendas.

Have a Happy and Safe Holiday from the City of Bellaire.
