Just walk over

At the ninth annual Oktoberfest celebration at Lucette and Richard Rieger’s front patio, Gary Baum and Michelle Shapiro flipped burgers, bratwurst and more on the grill and schmoozed with other St. George Place neighbors. St. George Place Civic Association volunteers who helped to make the party a success included Mike Berning, Bill Kyle, Richard Rieger, Dave Rogers and Graeme Womersley. Richard’s homemade sauerkraut, Dorota Zastrow’s tiramisu, Maude Peters’ Bavarian Black Forest Cherry Cake and Dave and Suzy Rogers’ cole slaw were devoured. Joe Brikha, an accordion player, played polkas and Karun Karun for two hours, and folks danced to the chicken dance after enough beer had been consumed.
