Robert M. Beren Academy Hosts Rep. Sarah Davis

I recently started a High School Republican Club at Beren Academy. On Jan. 9, we hosted our first speaker, Sarah Davis. Mrs. Davis is a Republican State Representative for District 134 which includes the renowned Texas Medical Center. She has been described as one of the most powerful second-term legislators in Texas and has authored 29 pieces of legislation.

Rep. Davis described her role as a Texas Legislator. She went into detail about her assignments on committees and her favorite jobs. Though a state representative, she still works as a lawyer while representing her constitutes because she can’t make a livelihood just through the State House.

Sarah Davis goes above and beyond her civic duty by serving. She gives her time to Texans instead of using it for herself. Sarah Davis is a role model for us all and Robert M. Beren Academy was honored to have her as a speaker.
