Roxie, age 7

Why, yes, this is my spot on the couch. I prefer that humans sit across the room. I feel a kinship with Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory because I get all discombobulated if someone sits in my spot. I’m called a “lounge lizard” often, but Foxy Roxie is my name. I love humans because they love me – at least the ones I share my domain with do. I’ve got a pretty awesome life peering out the window and watching squirrels all day. It’s way too hot in this city for me to be out there frolicking with them, so I prefer my air-conditioned view. They’re all over our backyard and keep me entertained until the sun goes down. Then I start surveying for the nocturnal critters that don’t know I’m watching. I’m sneaky like that. Oops! Gotta run. Dinner is served. Yawn.
