St. Thomas’ success story
Eric Tucker (pictured) attended St. Thomas’ Episcopal from fourth through 12th grade and went on to The University of Texas at Austin, where he majored in computer science, specializing in artificial intelligence and neural networking. He started an advertising company called PocketMath, which has grown to 40 employees in its Singapore-based office. PocketMath is a mobile platform using real-time bidding that helps connect advertisers to international audiences. Recently $10 million has been raised from Rakuten Ventures, in what has been called the largest first-round funding of any startup company in Singapore. Eric’s parents, Sarah and Bob Tucker, are both engineers and still live in the house Eric grew up in. Bob retired from KBR/Halliburton and Sarah worked at KBR and is currently a vice president with French company Doris.
