Whit Zorich

Whit Zorich experienced an allergic reaction while on a plane and his parents had to act quickly to figure out what to do.

To the new moms out there:

Have you braved traveling with your baby or young children yet? My husband and I experienced an interesting adventure when we traveled with our then 5-month-old twins in December for the first time. Our flight was delayed; we had to book a new flight out of a different airport; we almost ran out of formula (did you know they do not sell formula in some airports?); you know, the works. But it was all worth it. We got to visit family in beautiful New England. Luckily, we made it home and we did it all over again two weeks later to visit family for Christmas.

As you’ll see in March Buzz Baby, brave mom Katie Zorich had to have a doctor paged on her flight when her son Whit experienced an allergic reaction to peanuts (it was a skin issue and not an anaphylactic reaction). It didn’t stop her and she and her husband Robby were traveling again soon afterwards.

As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Life is a journey, not a destination.”

So to all the new moms out there: get out there, book those flights, pack those bags, and enjoy the journey.

Happy traveling!
