The fourth quarter is crunch time to every student, but the most important for juniors. This is the final chance for juniors to showcase their educational capabilities before applying to college. At Strake Jesuit, the fourth quarter decides your GPA. Not only are grades important, but many other factors come into play. There are sporting events, ACT/SAT testing, and course selection for the following year. The stress can be overwhelming. Strake Jesuit juniors welcome stress in their own ways. I asked a couple of juniors about how they will handle stress this quarter. Here's what they said:
"I plan on putting up motivating passages in my study area, and doing exercise." - Andres Contreras
"Usually to deal with stress I like to stay active whether it be sports or just going and working out." - Eamon Fleming
"I plan on coping with stress by reminding myself that summer is only two months away and that it's always important to finish the school year off strong." - Mauricio Chapa
"I'm going to try and stay ahead of my schoolwork." - Douglas Moore
