Happy Friday! This isn’t just any Friday – it’s Good Friday and Passover begins tonight at sundown. So whatever you’re celebrating this weekend, whether it be Easter, Passover, or a (hopefully-not-too-rainy) spring weekend, here are some buzzworthy events going on to keep in mind:

Doggy Party on the Plaza

The 6th Annual Doggy Party on the Plaza includes tons of activities for both pets and their humans, raffles, games, contests, plus a parade. There’ll be costume contests, a look-a-like contest, crafts, face painting, vendor booths, and much more. This free, fun, family-friendly day promotes rescue awareness. Bring the whole family, plus your pup, to City Centre this Saturday. See the details. 

Brunch + Run

Memorial Park will be the backdrop to a 4-mile run plus a 1-k kids run this Saturday, including a post-race party with a live band, food, and children’s activities. See the details. 

Hang Out by the Bayou

Saturday is also Bayou Greenway Day, in which Houstonians are invited to explore Bayou Greenways. Walk, bike, run, stroll, play and paddle between park sites. See the details.

Astros Opening Day

Celebrate Astros’ Opening Day on Monday with Street Fest, including live music, pep rallies, food trucks, and family-friendly activities. See the details.
