Heroes in disguise
More than 250 friends of Crossroads School, including Paul and Penny Khuri, came out to a gala themed “Superhero Soiree,” which raised $156,000 for the school. Guests nibbled on poached gulf shrimp shooters, fried macaroni and cheese bites, and grilled lamb chops as Dr. Gila Arnoni, head of the school, thanked guests for their support. Reporter Amy Davis of KPRC 2 News served as the evening’s emcee. Along with Davis, auctioneer extraordinaire Tracy Yeaman handled Crossroads’ live auction. Crossroads parents Estella and Randy Hale shared their story on how the school has helped their son to grow personally and academically.
