Houston Girls Cotillion

Since the invitation said “I Love Rock and Roll,” Huguette Abrunhosa arranged a 16-passenger party bus with neon lights to take her daughter and high school friends to the Omni, where they dined and rocked. The Houston Girls Cotillion promotes inter-school friendships among Duchesne Academy, Second Baptist School, St. Agnes Academy, Houston Christian, Lamar and Memorial High School. The evening provided teens the experience of a formal dinner/dance and social interaction, organized by volunteer parents. The sophomore girls, Camille Abrunhosa, Sofia Ceballos, Mariana Carrera, Isabella Kim, Sofia Antillon, Teffany Serna, Hannah Lee and Courtney Merrill, asked the boys (Andrew Ramsey, Hayden Kerns, Foster Askew, George Chavez, Jake Zander, Alec Voss, Cameron Gold and Marcus Madsen) to be their escorts. No one wore blue-suede shoes.
