Winnie Gordon

Winnie Gordon (pictured), a seventh grader at Pin Oak Middle School, and a teammate pass the ball to the setter during a volleyball tournament with the Texas Alliance 13 Black team. Gordon has a strong history with volleyball, beginning two years ago when she played with the YMCA. She also participated in club volleyball with Breakaway and joined Texas Alliance this school year. In addition, she played for the Pin Oak seventh-grade team last fall. Gordon’s Texas Alliance team, coached by Nikki VanDyke, has players from several area schools and recently played its final tournament of the season. Texas Alliance teammates are Nicole Hopwood, Madison Stanke, Emma Grace, Annika Vinson, Allison Polnau, Emma Buesinger, Holly Johnson, Amirah Olajuwon and Morgan McIntyre.
