The Pin Oak Middle School Cheerleaders competed in the Cheer American Nationals in Cypress. The 22 members, lead by coach Cindy Cook, took first place in their team category, and they were also named grand champions for the highest scores earned among competing teams. Their next competition will take place at American Cheer Power in Galveston on May 3. Team members were Catherine Garza, Grace Evans, Sydney McConn, Leigh Williams, Parker Sizemore, Sydney Verner-Shaw, Winnie Gordon, Mattie Brau, Mekenzie Primm, Alexis White, Faith Miles, Tomer Oren, Claire Betzer, Ebonee Ellison, Kaylin Guillory, Lilly Smith, Macy Jones, Ravyn Louis, Madison Clay, Linzi Wright, Grace Beasley, Melina Bezanis, Shelby Glatstein, Margot Purdie and Jordyn Whitaker.
