Field of dreams

Hundreds of Challenger Little Leaguers headed to Baylor Ballpark in Waco for the 2015 Shriners Hospitals for Children Baseball Classic sponsored by Blue Bell Ice Cream and Elite Sports Medicine of Waco. The event provided kids with physical and mental challenges with the opportunity to live a Division I-college baseball experience, including taking the field with the Baylor baseball players and coaches and hearing their names echo throughout the stadium’s P.A. system. It was all free of charge, thanks to founder and event chair Dustin Johnson, along with the Baylor University community. Participants included Joe Bassham, John Gravin, Will Fleming, Mark Kubena, Adner Vasquez, Lane Joseph, Keith Thomas, Gianni Casebere, Brandon Alexander, Dylan Alexander, Noah Alexander, Heather Jo Thomas, Luigi Garcia, Morgan Kubena, Nicholas Hennings, Rebecca Hinds, Andrew Emerson and J. Carter Berg.
