Petticoats to parasols

An unique fashion show highlighting fashions through the decades – for the Whispering Oaks, Sandalwood, Memorial Forest and Tealwood ladies clubs – was presented by the Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum, with proceeds from the event donated to the forum. Talented forum members acted out behavior through the decades, with the ’50s and ’60s being particularly memorable. The 190 guests enjoyed the event organized by co-chairs Nancy Telkins and Pat Madden and committee members Cecily Burleson, Christina Morse, Susan Bermack, Kathy Ehlinger, Della Marston and Ana Lips. Vintage centerpieces of gloves, boots, bags and vases with faces made a lasting impression.
