Lincoln Foreman and Karen Fielder

Lincoln Foreman and Karen Fielder

Amazing Place, a day program for adults with mild to moderate dementia, has some new technology that will help participants of the program. There is a large video screen where visitors can play Pictionary or Spot the Difference, work on a giant crossword puzzle, write a shared story or take a virtual museum tour. There is also a Smart Board to take a language lesson, create a Jib Jab video or silent movie, or bowl using Wii Sports. In another room, they can look at Google pictures of their hometown, take a music lesson or do a geography puzzle on the interactive white board. It’s all thanks to grants from the Vale-Asche Foundation and Glassell Family Foundation. Pictured are Buzz residents Lincoln Foreman and Karen Fielder taking advantage of the technology.
