A special congratulations to Bunker Hill residents who not only hosted the Memorial Villages 4th of July Festival this year but came in first place for the best float.
Susan and Marc Schwartz, who started and organize the Villages Independence Festival every year.
The festival was a great way for all Memorial Villages families to show their national - and local - pride.
Mayor Jay Williams of Bunker Hill had the opportunity to recognize the talents of Julia Kim, a fifth grader from Bunker Hill Elementary who won the t-shirt design contest for the festival.
