A new start
West University Elementary will celebrate its 90th year this year, and students, including third graders Andrew Choi, Brock Kelly, Gabriel Sahely, Jaina Jhunjhunwala and Carolyn Ray (pictured, from left), will say hello to another first day of school. For new WUES families or those with an incoming kindergarten student, there will be a “WUES 101” and a “Kindergarten Meet and Greet” program on Aug. 20 at 1 p.m. All WUES parents are invited to attend the first-day-of-school breakfast immediately following student drop-off on the morning of Aug. 24. The annual Red Apple sale will follow, where families can buy school gear, join the PTO, purchase carnival tickets, order a yearbook, and sign up for volunteer events.
