Tickled pink

Bellaire residents Lauren Soliz and Chris Canonico, who are expecting a girl on Sept. 23, were showered with love and gifts this summer at a baby shower. The party was co-hosted by 12 friends, Miya Shay, Jessica Michan, Megan Newton, Kim Padgett, Katie Sherborne, Corbett Parker, Thomas Davis, Jerry Peruchini, Sonia Soto, Catarina Gonzales, Marissa Taler and Monica Aizpurua. Over 50 guests attended and participated in the baby-shower stations, which included jotting down wishes for baby, writing a note on diapers to lift their spirits during late-night diaper changes, and a baby-tree where each person left a thumbprint to create a tree. The parents-to-be plan to frame and hang the baby-tree picture in Baby Canonico’s pink and gray nursery.
