It’s always a good choice to spend Labor Day weekend at the ballpark. The Astros will take on the Minnesota Twins Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday, it’ll be tough to know who to cheer for as Bellaire High School and Rice University alum Tyler Duffey is scheduled to pitch against his hometown team, mostly likely taking on the bearded wonder Dallas Keuchel. Head on down to Galveston Friday-Sunday for three full days of celebrating beer in this sixth annual festival, with more than 400 craft brews represented. Get on island time and enjoy events, food pairings and tastings at Moody Gardens all Labor Day Weekend. Details here.

Texas A&M vs. ASU
Celebrate the college-football season as the Texas A&M Aggies play the Arizona State University Sun Devils 6 p.m. Saturday in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff SEC/PAC 12 showdown at NRG Stadium. Get to the the north side of Platinum Lot 23 before 4 p.m. to join in the schools’ spirit walks. Details here.
