Joni HoffmanStill to this day my 86-year-old mom swears by Albolene Cream. She started using it when she was 16 and still uses it every single night to take off her makeup. Today, her skin is flawless. When I was younger, this cream and her passion for it were the target for many laughs. But today the joke is on me. I wish I had taken her advice. These days, I often visit her after a long day at work. I’ll run home, change into something comfy, then pop over to say hi. But no matter what time of day you visit my mom, she always looks fabulous. Without fail, this is what happens: She introduces me to someone new, and I see that perplexed and surprised look on their face, “You’re Blanche’s daughter?” Yes, I am. Mom, is it too late to borrow your Albolene Cream? Unlike me, many Buzz residents have actually taken their moms’ advice. To find out their tips, see this month’s article by Jennifer Oakley on beauty and wellness – inside and outside – passed down from Mom.  [email protected]
