Steven Powell (also known as DJ Nurse) is a graduate of Memorial High School and lives in Houston. He enjoys the ACL experience.

Joni said her ACL experience concluded on a high note thanks to friend Jana Harker (on left), who has been attending ACL with her family for years. 

Joni thought she spotted an old friend, Rusty Silverman, who lives in Scottsdale. They talked for several minutes and took a photo together but it was loud and hard to hear. Turns out, it wasn’t Rusty. She's not sure who this ACL attendee thought he was talking to, but had a laugh from the encounter.

Joni Hoffman gives a thumbs-up. She was ready for day two after Jo’s Coffee (and more weather-appropriate festival attire).

Seema Mir (on left) first planted the idea for Joni to attend ACL when they met four years ago. She’s been going to the festival for years with a friend but wasn’t able to use her tickets that year so sold hers on a Facebook trading site. Joni bought the tickets for her son’s birthday gift. “You should go, too!” Seema suggested…. Joni took her advice this year. They’ve been in touch ever since that ticket sale.

Joni and Michael Hoffman hiked an easy two-mile hike at Lost Maples State Park. 

After a night sans technology, Michael and Joni Hoffman were very excited to visit "the Apple Store" in town. They were surprised when it turned out it was literally a store that sold apples, not electronics!

Michael and Joni discussed The Buzz over a few brews at Tomboy Tavern with Brandy Johnson, marketing manager of Telluride Ski and Golf Resort. Why can't all our meetings be this much fun? 

Michael and Joni reunite with Heather Cabell, residence manager, and meet Evie Donegan, marketing and revenue manager of The Fairmont Heritage Place, Franz Klammer Lodge. The Fairmont is in the heart of Mountain Village and offers the ultimate VIP skiing experience. We never wanted to leave.

Mike and Susan Plank invited Joni and Michael to their home for Susan's signature cranberry pomegranate martini. Their home is the perfect combination of gorgeous yet cozy and warm. Mike and Susan are passionate about sharing their love of Telluride with Houstonians. Mike is on the board of the Telluride Foundation.

Their popular Flatliner, a dessert cocktail that includes various liquors and a shot of espresso, is addictively delicious yet a little dangerous. Dan serves a perfect Flatliner. Joni, Matt and Michael Hoffman enjoyed the incredibly fresh sushi at Cosmopolitan's happy hour at Hotel Columbia, which features 1/2 price sushi, wine and cosmos, 4:30-7 p.m. every night.
