Jimmy and Barbara Moon are one of the few members of the 100 Club, meaning they have attended 100+ regular season games, including home and away games. Ever since Michael bought his car three years ago, he’s been yearning to drive it on twisty mountain roads. A friend recommended the drive to Lost Maples State Park, which has some of the most beautiful scenery and driving roads in Texas.  

After a night sans technology, Michael and Joni Hoffman were very excited to visit "the Apple Store" in town. They were surprised when it turned out it was literally a store that sold apples, not electronics!

When Joni and Michael stopped in Luling, they had to choose between City Market and Luling Barbeque, which are literally across the street. They decided on City Market, which lived up to the hype. The rib meat fell off the bone and the brisket was cooked perfectly. (Note: City Market is closed on Sundays so they hit Luling Barbeque on the way home. It was good but they preferred Luling City Market.)

The route to Lost Maples State Park really was one of the most scenic that Joni and Michael had ever driven through.

Michael and Joni discussed The Buzz over a few brews at Tomboy Tavern with Brandy Johnson, marketing manager of Telluride Ski and Golf Resort. Why can't all our meetings be this much fun? 

Happy Hour with David and Julie Brown at Allred's, Telluride Ski Resort's flagship restaurant. Julie met Michael on the chair lift last year and ultimately helped connect us to other Houstonians in the area for our 2014 Texans in Telluride article.

Michael and Joni reunite with Heather Cabell, residence manager, and meet Evie Donegan, marketing and revenue manager of The Fairmont Heritage Place, Franz Klammer Lodge. The Fairmont is in the heart of Mountain Village and offers the ultimate VIP skiing experience. We never wanted to leave.

Mike and Susan Plank invited Joni and Michael to their home for Susan's signature cranberry pomegranate martini. Their home is the perfect combination of gorgeous yet cozy and warm. Mike and Susan are passionate about sharing their love of Telluride with Houstonians. Mike is on the board of the Telluride Foundation. 

Joni, Matt and Michael Hoffman enjoyed the incredibly fresh sushi at Cosmopolitan's happy hour at Hotel Columbia, which features 1/2 price sushi, wine and cosmos, 4:30-7 p.m. every night.
